I like this place a lot, but more than one meal has been RUINED by awful staff. In particular, the old crazy lady with gray hair. She is SO rude to the other workers, and often rude to the customers as well. She is SO condescending and patronizing. Once or twice, she has told the staff they are not allowed to do any special requests or substitutions for my special dietary requirements. Eh-hem…excuse me??? This is really how you treat your regulars, the backbone of your own freakin’ company?? I used to go to the Crown Center location several times a week for lunch - and the staff was great except when she butts in. Once she yelled at a guy for doing what he’s done a HUNDRED times for me!! (just leaving off a few ingredients I’m allergic to). One thing that’s really nice about having a “regular” restaurant is the staff remembers you, and knows how you like to order - unless she butts in. Now I see the same crazy lady at the 39th St location. She has ruined the experience for me. I avoid D’Bronx these days, and before I go in, I ALWAYS peek to see if she is there. If she’s there, I go elsewhere (usually next door to Ghengis Khan). So that’s my basic recommendation - do NOT go in if you see a crazy lady with gray hair. She’s gotta be OCD, or neurotic, or something. She will ruin your order, be rude, stare at you while you eat, yell at the staff right in front of you, and otherwise disrupt your meal. Hey crazy lady - get a life!!
