The worst Italian food I have ever had. The only time I have ever sent food back at a restaurant. Simply sickening. Brio advertises fancy Italian food at a fancy price, but it delivers cafeteria food with a greasy-spoon attitude. Don’t bother. We had “pasta” (sacchetini) in something like vodka sauce and lasagna bolognese. The sacchetini were innocuous enough, but not very good, flavorless. The lasagna bolognese was not as advertised, as is consisted of nothing by a greasy hamburger-like patty between two undercooked noodles, topped with a thin layer of cold ricotta. We asked the server if it contained pork, and she assured us it did not. The manager later told us that it actually contained pork, but, by then, my companion, who has dietary restrictions, had already eaten a quarter of the dish, which was as far as either of us could get. The bolognese sauce contained about 6-7 things that bolognese should not. I have been eating lasagna bolognese all my life — this was not lasagna bolognese. This was cafeteria food. We chewed gum to get the taste out of our mouths. Service was awful. Inattentive, rude, and unprofessional. The server was unconcerned that we had switched (and hardly eaten) our meals. They broke every rule in the book, from flopping food onto the table, to not knowing the dishes, to having a creepy and condescending attitude. That goes double for the manager. They get one star for giving us a refund on the lasagna.
