Barbaric Yelp

I brought my 7 year old here for ice cream. We each got a small cone, which I thought was very expensive. After we were served, the cashier informed me that my daughter had knocked over a $1.99 sucker and cracked it. She told me that it is the store policy that any broken merchandise should be considered sold. This item should have been written off. As an alternative, it should have been sold to me at cost, or at minimum, she could have told me before I ordered the ice cream. In the very short run, they rang in $8 worth of sales from me that day. However, the negative goodwill they generated in making the extra $1.99 will cost them any money that I would have spent at any time in the future. I am very happy for the development that has occurred in western Wyandotte County, and I like to support The Legends. I will not, however, spend another nickel at Palmers Candies and Ice Cream. Never - Guaranteed. Tim Crawford
