First and last trip to OK Joe’s. First, counter staff was rude & unhelpful. Acted like I was an annoyance instead of a customer. Register operator actually took a phone call while I was waiting to pay. Sandwich was SMALL! I almost asked if it was just a sampler. I kept thinking of the Wendy’s commercial where you pay for all the flair on the walls. Except at Joe’s instead of charging a lot they just cut the portions down to nothing. I actually saw a guy order ribs and get ONE RIB! Pork was dry. Sauce was unoriginal. BBQ beans were more like chili without the meat. And, there is NO SWEET TEA! what self-respecting BBQ joint doesn’t have sweet tea? Do yourself a favor. Go to Kansas City. Eat some BBQ. Just stick to the established places like Arthur Bryant’s and Gates. This place will be closed within a year.
